Sand Gnats Thrill Fans with 5-4 Win
Pete Hunter did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Charleston RiverDogs from being beaten, 5-4, to the Savannah Sand Gnats at Grayson Stadium. Hunter was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Savannah goes to 3-1 with the win.

Alex Boyd was the walk-off hero for Savannah. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sand Gnats designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Good hitters want to be the ones taking those big at-bats," said Boyd.
