Star CL Rondon Signs for 4 years
Thursday, July 16th, 2020
Happy times in Detroit as the Tigers and star closer Bruce Rondon put the finishing touches on a $35,000,000 contract extension that will keep the 29-year-old in town 4 years longer.

The signing is great news for Detroit because players of this caliber are hard to come by.

This season Rondon has earned 22 saves, made 45 relief appearances, fanned 59 hitters in 43.2 innings and posted an ERA of 2.27 and a 3-3 record.
National League Defeats American League 10-9 in Tight All-Star Game
Tuesday, July 14th, 2020
Despite his best efforts, game MVP Luis Carpio's American League All-Stars couldn't overcome the powerful National League squad in the annual All-Star Game.

"We tried our best, but did you see the talent in that lineup?" Carpio was quoted as saying after the game. "I'm honored to be named MVP of the game. To stand among the greatest stars of the game and be declared the best among them is truly an honor, even if we didn't end up winning the game. I had fun, and I think the fans did as well."

The National League All-Stars triumphed in the game by a final score of 10-9 in this year's game at Miller Park.

His all-time numbers show Carpio is carrying a .275 career batting average with 15 home runs and 93 RBIs.
