MLB News: Arbitration Hearings
Tuesday, November 19th, 2019
The MLB salary arbitration hearings will be held today. For a few fleeting hours, general managers, players and their mouthpieces will conduct a risky game of verbal tug-of-war. Players, used to settling their scores on the field, could make millions or find their paychecks slashed summarily. When the decisions are announced tomorrow, general managers will have a much better grasp of their budget in the upcoming free agent market. One thing is for certain -- when the results go public tomorrow, someone in Major League Baseball won't be happy.
Arbitration Period Ends Today
Tuesday, November 19th, 2019
MLB's arbitration period goes out with a bang today - or some may say a whimper.

Typically, very few players get to an arbitration trial, since players and teams tend to view it negatively and end up just signing a one-year extension.

Nevertheless, there are sure to be a few surprises today and one way or the other, the Major League Baseball season is just a step closer to Opening Day.
