No Playoff Berth Coming for Cleveland Monday, September 21st , 2026 They put up a valiant effort, but the Cleveland Guardians didn't have what it takes to make the Major League Baseball playoffs in 2026. The club was officially eliminated from postseason qualification today. "Sucks," said Guardians shortstop Juan MartÃnez. Cleveland last appeared in the postseason in 2022. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 112 times in their 126-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Guardians have made the playoffs 4 times. Cleveland last won the World Series in 1948. |
