Player of the Week Trophy to Adams Monday, September 21st , 2026 Cincinnati fans have something to crow about today as Cincinnati catcher Jeff Adams nabbed the National League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Adams. He posted a .565 average (13-for-23) this past week with 1 home run, 5 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Adams is hitting .287 this year with 15 home runs, 72 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 145 hits in 505 at-bats, 27 walks and a .321 on-base percentage. Adams has played in 123 games. |
