Tigers Navarro Suffers Setback Sunday, September 20th , 2026 Just when it looked like José Navarro would soon return to the Detroit Tigers, the second baseman suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a forearm strain. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Navarro experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be out of action for at least 2 weeks. For the season, Navarro is currently batting .265 with 12 home runs and 58 RBIs. In 121 games he has reached base at a .329 rate and scored 51 runs to date. |
