Houston Won't Make Playoffs Sunday, September 20th , 2026 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Houston this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Houston Astros today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Astros manager Mike Napoli, "but it never gets fun." This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2024. In total, the Astros have missed the playoffs 54 times in their 65-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Astros have made the playoffs 2 times. |
