Miami Loses Malone for Season Wednesday, September 16th , 2026 In a news release, the Miami Marlins announced that closer Joe Malone would miss the rest of the season due to a torn labrum. Malone sustained the injury on 09/14/2026. He "will be sorely missed," said his manager. This season, in 64 relief appearances, Malone has rung up 22 saves. He has 72 strikeouts and 24 walks in 71.1 innings while registering a 1.89 ERA and a 6-7 won-lost record. Opposing teams have hit .201 against him. |
