No Playoff Berth Coming for New York Wednesday, September 16th , 2026 It certainly could have been worse this year for the New York Mets, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. New York last appeared in the postseason in 2017. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 57 times in their 65-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Mets have only made the playoffs once. New York has won the World Series 2 times in their history. |
