Franco Reaches 2000 Milestone Friday, September 4th , 2026 For Maikel Franco, it was a red-letter day. The Philadelphia Phillies third baseman slapped his 2000th career hit. That his team defeated the Atlanta Hammers, 4-3, made it even sweeter. His manager paid tribute to Franco after the game: "I've followed Maikel since he came into the league," he said.
