Bad News for Fox Jr. and Washington Sunday, July 26th , 2026 Lucius Fox Jr. is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for an oblique strain. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Nationals sent the 29-year-old shortstop back to the doctors for reexamination. Fox Jr. told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Fox Jr. will now miss a minimum of 3 weeks. On the year, Fox Jr. has hit .285 with 2 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 33 runs. |
