Mets Swap Perez to Mariners for De La Hoya Tuesday, July 21st , 2026 Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the New York Mets and the Seattle Mariners. In the deal New York got 34-year old 3B Drew Dosch and 18-year old minor league RF Juan De La Hoya from Seattle and dealt 28-year old RHP Franklin E. Perez to the Mariners. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned." New York will retain a portion of Perez's remaining contract. This season, Perez has accumulated no saves, registered a 4.18 ERA and struck out 20 in 28 innings. He also has a 2-3 record in 29 relief appearances. |
