Mets, Athletics Swap Players Tuesday, July 21st , 2026 Today at a press conference the New York Mets announced a trade has been completed with the Oakland Athletics. The Mets have shipped 27-year old SS Kenny Hernandez to the Athletics for 25-year old minor league 3B Hank Hembrow. New York will retain a portion of Hernandez's remaining contract. So far this year, Hernandez is batting .174 with 1 home run. |
