Super Week for Pittsburgh's Jackson! Monday, July 20th , 2026 Pittsburgh fans have something to crow about today as Pittsburgh right fielder Alex Jackson nabbed the National League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Jackson. He posted a .500 average (7-for-14) this past week with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. This year, Jackson has socked 89 hits in 325 at-bats for a .274 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .329 pace and his totals also include 40 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
