Houston Announces De Fratus Will Retire Wednesday, April 1st , 2026 Justin De Fratus said he's proud of what he's accomplished in professional baseball and he's now comfortable walking away from the sport. The Houston Astros reliever announced today that this season will be his last. "It's Freedom 38," he joked with reporters. "I'm happy to get out now and am looking forward to enjoying retirement." De Fratus has chalked up a career 42-and-34 record with 45 saves and a 3.16 ERA. |
