Premier Rookie Named by AL Monday, September 1st , 2025 Youngster Steve McGuire emerged as the latest American League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Houston deserved the honor, batting .313 with 7 home runs and 29 RBI. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let McGuire enjoy the limelight. This year, McGuire is hitting .292 with 17 home runs and 83 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .330 clip and scored 46 runs. |
