Adkins Shuts Out Minnesota, 9-0 Wednesday, August 6th , 2025 The Minnesota Twins were almost helpless in their 9-0 loss to the Detroit Tigers and hurler Cam Adkins. Adkins kept the Twins confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Adkins," Minnesota manager Robin Ventura said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 25-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Adkins said.
