Toronto, New York Agree to Swap Thursday, July 31st , 2025 The Toronto Blue Jays have made a deal sending 25-year old minor league LF Álex Guiñónes to the New York Yankees for 34-year old RHP Shae Simmons. Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out. So far this year, Guiñónes has hit .262 with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Taking a look at his season stats for 2025, Simmons has made 37 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 2-2 won-lost mark with a 3.27 ERA. In pitching 33 innings, he has totaled 36 strikeouts and 17 walks. |
