Mets Swap McGuire to Brewers for Howell Saturday, July 26th , 2025 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the New York Mets and the Milwaukee Brewers. As part of the deal, the Mets swapped 30-year old C Reese McGuire to the Brewers getting 22-year old 3B Hank Howell in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. New York will retain a portion of McGuire's remaining contract. So far this season, McGuire is batting .252 with 4 home runs. |
