Los Angeles Swaps Puig to Pittsburgh for Uribe Saturday, July 26th , 2025 Reports have surfaced that Los Angeles has agreed to send 34-year old RF Yasiel Puig and 30-year old minor league LHP Kelyn Jose to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for 34-year old 3B Jake Lamb, 23-year old minor league CF Pepe Uribe, 24-year old minor league LHP Jerry Jones, and 21-year old minor league RHP Billy Campbell. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. This season, Puig is batting .270 with 85 hits, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs, .340 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
