Oakland, Philadelphia Trade Players Monday, May 29th , 2023 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Oakland Athletics and the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a deal that will have 29-year old 1B Matt Olson and 26-year old 1B Wes Bowers heading to Philadelphia in exchange for 29-year old 1B Jim Cobb. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. So far this year in 39 games Bowers is hitting .240 with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. In 31 games this season Cobb has compiled a .160 batting average with 15 hits and 6 home runs. He has also scored 11 times and knocked in 9 runs. |
