Rosenthal Grabs NL Reliever of the Year Award

Trevor Rosenthal came out of the bullpen and worked through tough situations all year, and for his performance he's been named the recipient of the National League Reliever of the Year Award for 2022.

The 32-year-old out of Lee's Summit, Missouri captured the award with 30 saves in 63 relief appearances, 71 strikeouts in 66.1 innings and a record of 4 wins and 3 losses to go with his 2.58 ERA.

"I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ritzi Mendoza of the San Francisco Giants finished second in voting with 22 first place votes, while Craig Kimbrel of the San Francisco Giants finished third.
