Week's Best Player: Milwaukee's Smith Monday, September 5th , 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the National League, but last week Jim Smith of the Milwaukee Brewers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Smith rocked opposing pitching for a .435 average (10-for-23), 1 home run and 13 RBIs to come away with the award. For the year Smith is batting .267 with 8 home runs. |
