Aurora, Firebirds Confirm Swap Monday, July 25th , 2022 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Aurora and Firebirds have agreed to a swap. Atlanta will get 25-year old minor league RHP Lachlan Wells, 24-year old minor league RHP Alberto Guerrero, 24-year old minor league LHP Jesús Rodríguez, and 23-year old minor league LHP Chris Martin with Vancouver receiving 29-year old 2B Brandon Drury, 23-year old minor league 3B Jeff Edwards, 20-year old minor league RF Tim York, and $370,000 in cash in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. Wells's record up to now is 4-and-4 with no saves and a 5.28 ERA. He has given up 74 hits in 76.2 innings with 63 strikeouts. On the year Drury has hit .285 with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and scored 39 runs. |
