American League Announces #1 Player Monday, July 18th , 2022 At the age of 30, Nick Castellanos might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Detroit third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .464 batting average. For his efforts Castellanos collected the American League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 13 hits in 28 at-bats, no home runs and 8 RBIs last week in 7 games. Thus far this season in 92 games Castellanos is batting .277 with 11 home runs, 50 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 104 hits in 375 at-bats. |
