Yasiel Puig Out of Lineup 7-8 Weeks Tuesday, May 10th , 2022 Yasiel Puig at first refused to leave today's Milwaukee-New York game after he suffered a fractured finger while being hit by a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty New York left fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Puig out of action for 7-8 weeks. For the season Puig is currently batting .229 with 1 home run and 12 RBIs. In 31 games he has reached base at a .339 rate and scored 12 runs to date. |
