GONE! GONE! GONE! 3 HRs for Wilbur Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Dodgers-Phillies game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. WL shortstop Joey Wilbur thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the WL to a 9-6 win over WL. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Wilbur said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Wilbur was 3-for-3 on the day with 4 runs batted in. Joey Wilbur walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chris Jones in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Jones in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Victor Arano in the 6th. Wilbur is currently batting .341 with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 82 at-bats. |
