5 Hits for Rays López Friday, August 22nd , 2025 Tampa Bay (VSL) left fielder Juan López had a big day at VSL Rays Complex against the Seattle (VSL) Mariners. The 21-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 23-1 Rays triumph over Seattle (VSL). "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," López said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Juan López singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Orlando Vásquez in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Nelson Hernández in the 7th.
