Thomas Blisters Tampa Bay (VSL) Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 It was a good day for the Mariners at VSL Rays Complex as they clipped the Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays, 19-13. It was tremendous day for Cedric Thomas, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Seattle (VSL) second baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Cedric Thomas singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off José Rivera in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off José Rivera in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Thomas has a .325 average and a .378 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 49 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 15 runs. View Boxscore |
