Firebirds Heading to League Series Saturday, September 11th , 2021 Orlando Rivera was a standout performer in the Division Series, but unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the rest of the Minnesota (DSL) Twins. The Atlanta (DSL) Firebirds beat Rivera's Twins 7-2 at Baseball City Complex tonight, to capture the series 3-1. Despite the series loss, Rivera was named MVP. "It's cold comfort," he said solemnly when asked about the award. "I'd certainly rather be in Atlanta (DSL)'s position than mine." The Atlanta (DSL) Firebirds will play against the Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos in the next round. Cincinnati (DSL) won their series against the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 3 games to 0.
