Perkins Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Friday, September 18th , 2026 Cam Perkins continued his streak at Pirate City Complex, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The FCL first baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Pirates were not as fortunate, losing, 7-1, to the FCL Orioles. "Perkins was hitting everything we threw at him," said FCL manager Derek Self. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Cam Perkins grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year, Perkins is hitting .311, produced 20 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 6 times and gotten on base at a .368 rate. |
