Lester Slaps 5 Hits Thursday, September 17th , 2026 FCL left fielder Mel Lester had a day to remember, 5-for-7 against the FCL Rays at Louisville Grounds as the Yankees picked up a win, 19-17. "He was patient up there," FCL skipper Ender Inciarte told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Lester has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Mel Lester singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Clarence Miller in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off David Carrillo in the 9th.
