FCL's Best Player, McCarthy of FCL Monday, September 14th , 2026 Not every ball that came off Jeff McCarthy's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the FCL Orioles. For his exploits, McCarthy was named this week's Florida Complex League Player of the Week award. The FCL shortstop put up 16 hits in 24 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .667 with 4 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Thus far this year, McCarthy has hit .429 with 7 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
