Hughes Raps FCL for 5 Hits Saturday, September 5th , 2026 5 times is the charm -- at least for Chad Hughes. The FCL Cardinals second baseman tore up the FCL Rays to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Louisville Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Hughes powered the 11-3 Cardinals win. "Hughes was a tough out," FCL manager Brandon Macias said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
