González on Fire, 5-for-8 Against FCL Wednesday, July 22nd , 2026 At Hammond Stadium, Jorge González of the FCL Twins put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 8 at-bats and mauled the FCL Pirates pitching staff, but FCL still came up short on the scoreboard. The Twins went home with the 10-9 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their second baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," González said in the postgame interview. Jorge González flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
