In an unforgettable performance, the 24-year-old Walwyn fanned 15 Tigers and sparked the 4-2 New York N (GCL) Mets victory over Detroit (GCL). He left Tigers hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said New York N (GCL) manager Travis Tartamella. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 8 innings, Walwyn allowed 4 hits and no walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Walwyn said with a smile.
