MacCaw Runs Hit String to 40 Straight Games Saturday, August 30th , 2025 Dave MacCaw ran his hitting streak to 40 straight games at Hammond Stadium, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Minnesota (GCL) Twins dropped the game, 3-2, to the Baltimore (GCL) Orioles. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," MacCaw said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Dave MacCaw flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this season, MacCaw is batting .412 with 6 home runs. |
