That's exactly what Zander Holland did at George M. Steinbrenner Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 19-8. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Holland said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The New York A1 (GCL) Yankees1 center fielder blistered the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies for 4 hits, batted in 9 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Philadelphia (GCL) manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Zander Holland singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Ken Jackson in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Hunter in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Reggie Floyd in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. So far this season, Holland is batting .340 with 16 home runs. |
