Holland Rocks Phillies for 3 HRs Friday, August 22nd , 2025 New York A1 (GCL) Yankees1 center fielder Zander Holland sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies, Holland told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Holland pushed the Yankees1 past the Phillies, 14-1. To go along with the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Holland told reporters after the game. Zander Holland hit a solo-shot off Bob Williams in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bob Williams in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Dan Hunter in the 6th and singled in the 7th. At present, Holland is batting .305 and has collected 10 home runs, 27 RBIs, .422 OBP and scored 34 runs. |
