St. Louis (GCL) Snaps Bishop Streak at 24 Thursday, August 7th , 2025 The hitting streak that Miami (GCL) center fielder Steve Bishop had kept going for 24 games was ended by the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals. Bishop was stymied over 4 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 5-3 victory at Roger Dean Stadium. "Hitting streaks come and go," Bishop said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This year, Bishop has hit at a .312 clip with 38 RBIs, 15 home runs and 31 runs scored. |
