5-for-6 Day for Sandoval Sunday, September 4th , 2022 Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates left fielder Dave Sandoval really lit up the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies with a 5-hit barrage today at Pirate City Complex -- a performance that sparked the Pirates to a 14-12 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Dave Sandoval flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a two-run home run off Tony Gallegos in the 12th.
