Butler's 30-Game Hit Streak Ends Wednesday, August 24th , 2022 Pittsburgh (GCL) first baseman Alex Butler experienced something against the Houston (GCL) Astros he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Astros pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 30 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Pirates to a 7-4 victory at Ballpark of Belvedere. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 30-game hitting streak," Butler joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." So far this season Butler has 11 home runs and a .471 batting average. |
