Hunt Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, August 22nd , 2025 Kingsport Mets first baseman Steve Hunt banged out 5 hits, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Pulaski Yankees, 6-5. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Hunt said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Steve Hunt singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 9th. So far this season, Hunt is batting .420 with 7 home runs, 46 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 212 at-bats, 20 walks and a .479 OBP. Hunt has played in 55 games. View Boxscore |
