Wednesday, September 10th , 2025
He may have less experience than most of his Northwest League peers, but that didn't slow Dave Hogan down at all in 2025.

At the age of 23, the Hillsboro first baseman has been named the winner of the Northwest League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .401 batting average and a .507 on-base percentage this year. In 71 games he piled up 109 hits, 33 doubles, no triples, 11 home runs, 68 RBIs and 58 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 8. Walt Johnson of the Eugene Emeralds finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Pepe Ortega of the Vancouver Canadians finished third.
