Vega Raps Salem-Keizer for 5 Hits Monday, August 18th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Daniel Vega -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Volcanoes Stadium and paced the 11-7 Dust Devils win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. After his dynamite batting performance, the Tri-City second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. Daniel Vega hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eric Butler in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
