5-Hit Barrage by Hogan Saturday, August 16th , 2025 At Ron Tonklin Field, Dave Hogan of the Hillsboro Hops put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and mauled the Eugene Emeralds pitching staff, but Hillsboro still came up short on the scoreboard. The Hops went home with the 6-4 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their first baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Hogan said in the postgame interview. Dave Hogan hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Walt Johnson in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th. For the season, Hogan has produced 103 hits in 259 at-bats for a .398 average with 10 home runs and gotten on base at a .509 clip. View Boxscore |
