Canadians End Barajas Streak
Wednesday, August 13th , 2025
It was a doubly miserable day for José Barajas of the Everett AquaSox, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 5-3, to the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium. The 21-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Canadians.

"Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Vancouver manager Jason Hagerty said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

Looking at his present stats, Barajas has compiled a .426 batting average in 23 games with a .483 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 14 runs.
