John Strokes 5 Hits Wednesday, August 6th , 2025 Spokane Tribe center fielder Eric John had a day to remember at Avista Stadium, ripping apart the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and sparking the 14-0 Tribe win. John wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," John told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Eric John singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
