Yankees Star Wins Outstanding Pitcher Award

The New York-Penn League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner has been chosen and the trophy goes to Staten Island hurler Omar Padua for his outstanding season in 2025.

Padua was quite impressive with a 5-6 record and a 3.25 ERA. In 16 starts and 122 innings, he struck out 134 and gave up 122 hits and 41 walks. Teams hit .260 against him.

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 14. Steve Foster of the Lowell Spinners finished second in voting, while Rubén González of the Hudson Valley Renegades finished third with 2 first place votes.
