5-Hit Blitz by Batavia's Márquez
Tuesday, August 19th , 2025
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Batavia's 17-0 win over Aberdeen, shortstop Robby Márquez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Ripken Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Márquez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Robby Márquez grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
This year, Márquez is batting .355 with 1 home run and 10 RBIs. In 35 games he has scored 14 times.
