González Leads Hudson Valley to 3-0 Win Over Auburn Thursday, August 14th , 2025 The Auburn Doubledays were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Hudson Valley Renegades and hurler Rubén González. González kept the Doubledays confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to González," Auburn manager Brandon Crawford said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 22-year-old right-hander had no walks and 11 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," González said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." For the season, González has a record of 5 wins and 1 loss in 6 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.11 and has fanned 45 batters in 47 innings.
